ICC unveils the full schedule of 2024 Men’s Under-19 World Cup; India’s first match against Bangladesh

Kick-off on January 13 Sri Lanka vs Zimbabwe

The cricketing circus is listed to start off on January 13 and will run through to February 4, offering a month of cricketing excitement. The brigades will also have the occasion to OK-tune their chops during a series of warm-up games listed from January 6 to 12. The event nature is set to be a thrilling showdown between host nation Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe.

Defending titleholders India vs 2020 titleholders Bangladesh

Modified format Groups and super six-stage

The U19 World Cup 2024 introduces a slightly modified format, with the 16 sharing brigades originally divided into four groups, each comprising four brigades. especially, the top three brigades from each group will secure their passage to the Super Six stage, where the competition is anticipated to consolidate.

This stage will feature each platoon playing two institutions, bending them against opponents from the opposing group grounded on their positions in the original group stage.

The trip culminates in the grand homestretch at the iconic Sinhalese Sports Club in Colombo on Sunday, February 4, where the two top brigades will battle for supremacy in the U19 World Cup.
