Former England batter Kevin Pietersen has participated in his perceptivity on the current state of the alternate Ashes Test at Lord’s, where Australia has established a commanding position. Despite losing out incentive Nathan Lyon to a shin strain, the excursionists hold a substantial lead of 221 runs, leaving England with a gruelling task ahead in the remaining days of the match.
Pietersen believed that Australia will maintain their dominance and continue its aggressive fur approach on Day 4, further adding to England’s straits. Speaking on Sky Sports Cricket, he expressed, “ They won’t give England a whiff. They’re not going to declare and say, ‘ Hey England, let’s see how stalwart you are. ’ They just won’t do it, especially with an incentive down. ”
Pietersen emphasized the advantage of limited overs in bowling, stating, “ If you club just 70- 75 overs, there’s no fast bowler in the world in the opposition who thinks it’s a bad thing. It’s like brushing three spells and about 15 overs overall. ”
Khawaja’s harmonious fur performances caught Pietersen’s attention, and he confided the Aussie nature for his unwavering focus and control, comparing him to Steve Smith.
