‘It was really disappointing’: Usman Khawaja opens up on heated argument with MCC member at Lord’s Long Room – Ashes 2023

Following the event, the MCC issued a statement to clarify the entire incident. Khawaja further revealed the reason behind his losing his cool. The left-handed Aussie nature stated that several MCC members had levied significant allegations, egging him to halt and engage in a discussion to clarify the matter. still, he admitted that the discussion failed to resolve the issue as the members held onto their views. In the end, Khawaja concluded by expressing his disappointment at witnessing a similar gesture from the MCC members.

So I just talked to many of them. Many of them throwing out some enough big allegations and I just called them up on it and they kept going, and I was like, well, this is your class then. So I’m just pointing them out. But it’s enough discourteous, to be honest. I just anticipate a lot better from the members, ” added the 36- time-old.
