‘Animated’ Ashish Nehra Scolds Hardik Pandya During GT vs SRH Clash in IPL 2023

 Gujarat Titans (GT)  took on Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH)  in the 62nd match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Monday( May 15). GT surfaced victorious in the contest by 34 runs and came the first platoon to qualify for the playoffs in the ongoing event. On the other hand, SRH’s expedients of reaching the knockouts suffered a reversal, as they were excluded from the race.


Although Gujarat registered a comprehensive palm over Hyderabad, there was also a moment in the game where GT head trainer Ashish Nehra lost his cool and scolded his platoon’s commander Hardik Pandya on the sidelines of the boundary ropes.

The incident took place towards the end of the GT innings when Shubman Gill departed after scoring a blazing ton. Soon after Gill’s redundancy, the Ahmedabad- grounded ballot was pushed on the back foot and lost four lattices in the final over. Nehra was veritably unhappy with the platoon’s unforeseen downfall and indulged in a heated discussion with Hardik. The videotape of the same has gone viral on the internet.

Coming back to the match, Gill’s brilliant 101 off 58 balls guided GT to a competitive aggregate of 188/9 in 20 overs. Meanwhile, Bhuvneshwar Kumar bagged a fifer for SRH in the clash.

In reply, Hyderabad failed terribly in the run chase and lost four of their batters with just 29 runs on the board. Heinrich Klaasen top-scored for his platoon and scored flexible 64 runs, but unfortunately, SRH fell 34 runs short and ended up losing the contest. Mohammed Shami and Mohit Sharma picked four lattices each for the Hyderabad- grounded platoon in the contest.

Hardik and Co. will now be seen in action when they face Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in their last league stage institution on Thursday( May 17).
